Announcing our Priest in Charge

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
On behalf of the Vestry and the Search Committee, it is my distinct honor to introduce our new Priest in Charge, The Reverend Chris Cole.
Father Chris joins us from Grace Episcopal Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma, where he has been serving as Priest in Charge since April 2022. He holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Tulsa and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Kansas. He graduated cum laude from Virginia Theological Seminary in May 2020 with a Master of Divinity and was ordained to the priesthood on July 25, 2020, at Trinity Episcopal Church Tulsa, being the first priest ordained by Bishop Poulson. Following his curacy at Trinity Tulsa, he was called to serve at Grace Muskogee. He is married to Howard Doak, and both are proud Tulsa natives.
We are pleased to welcome Father Chris to Saint Dunstan’s Tulsa. His first day with us will be July 1st and his first Sunday will be July 7, 2024.

Dear People of St. Dunstan's:
My spouse and I are so excited to join your community on July 1! You have already begun the great work of fostering a vibrant and innovative faith community, one that is true to Jesus's love commandment and is open and accessible to all. We are so happy to soon be a part of it. You have so many strengths: beautiful sacramental worship, a commitment to sacred music, authentic friendships, a love of your surrounding community and are a home to a wonderful preschool program. I am so looking forward to getting to know you all and seeing how our collective gifts come together as we continue the ministry work you have already begun. Your vestry and wardens have some great ideas, supported fully by the bishop and his staff, to facilitate the growth and vitality of the parish, and it is my hope and prayer that God will lead us all into a new spirit-led and faith-filled chapter in the life of your beloved parish.
So until July 1, know that my spouse and I are keeping you in our prayers until the day we can join you!
